IMB Annual Report
The Institute of Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland engaged us with a consultancy offer to oversee projects from a conceptual design perspective in order to revitalise their branding over a number of projects.
One of those projects being their annual report, we were given carte blanche with this and we came up with a modern, yet classic design that complimented an illustration created by their artist in residence at the time. This style of illustration has been carried over the previous few years Annual Reports and to give the 2014 annual report a point of difference, we used elements of the illustration throughout the booklet. This connected the beautiful cover art to the content within, while keeping to the existing brand guidelines in regard to font use.
The treatment of copy and imagery kept the conservative classic look while the illustrative elements connected everything together with a modern creative touch that can be used in years to come.
